Visiting a street market in Ubud, Indonesia

Day 28- Ubud, Indonesia

Every morning starting around 5:30 AM, the women of the villages maek the rek by foot or motorcycle to the market. This market in particular had an abundance of flowers and fruits with rich colors textures with exteriors that range from wonderfully smooth to painfully prickly. We have sampled just about every fruit available with Liz being much more adventuresome. The internal textures and colors of the fruit often surprise us with unexpected sweetness or a pulp that feels like baked liver. There is an abundance of aromas as there is fresh and cooked fish, chicken, and meat available.
